Chamber Facts

Membership:

Open to business and professional organizations, non-profits and individuals in the greater Chenango County area. Total customer base includes over 450 members. 85% of the membership consists of businesses with 25 employees or less and geographically distributed across the county. Chamber member firms employ over 65% of the area's work force.

Product and Service Overview:

The Chamber strives to offer programs that enhance networking opportunities and professional development in addition to valuable benefits and services designed to offer members a competitive advantage.

Strategic priorities include economic development, business enterprise, membership development (including direct benefit programs for business firms), proactive governmental and legislative affairs, business support and community development.

Community Development:

The Chenango Foundation was formed in 1989 to support community development and assist in the advancement of quality of life. Two successful endeavors include Leadership Chenango, a program designed to identify and develop individuals to become future community leaders, and The Children's Center, a quality, center-based child-care facility constructed to meet the growing needs of working families. Other efforts include the Northeast Classic Car Museum and Colorscape Chenango.
